Why Families in Cumberland County Choose Attorney Laura Devan

She Has Seen These Cases from Every Angle

In 2008, Governor Easley appointed Laura Devan to a newly created District Court Judgeship in Cumberland County. She served as one of five Family Court Judges, presiding over Family Court, Domestic Violence Court, and Child Support Enforcement Court, until 2016.

After nearly a decade on the bench, she chose to come back to private practice. Not because she had to. Because she wanted to keep helping families.

With a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and over 30 years of experience in North Carolina family law, Attorney Devan brings a perspective to your case that very few attorneys can offer.

She knows what courts look for. She knows what protects you. And she is ready to listen.
